Clinker Coolers



Shakespeare has supplied clinker cooler solutions for the cement industry. Cast products include:

Grate Cooler Plates (slotted, holes, CFG, RFT)
Bridge Plates
Side Plates
Grate Plate Carriers
Satellite Cooler Tube Liners and Lifters
Air Cannon Blaster Nozzles

Hard Faced Insert cooler plates have been developed by Shakespeare to meet the demanding operating conditions found in some Clinker Coolers. Subjected to high abrasion and elevated temperatures, Cooler Plates are often found to experience abnormally high wear in the stroke area of the plate resulting in excessive downtime.

To reduce the effect of abrasion and elevated temperatures an Insert is fitted to the casting on the area behind the cooling slots. The Insert is plate with a weld overlay, the metallurgy of which has outstanding resistance to abrasion at both ambient and elevated temperatures. The material, most commonly a chromium carbide alloy, is deposited using the submerged arc process ensuring a smooth surface giving minimum resistance to flow of clinker over the face.

Kilns



Shakespeare are highly experienced at supplying cast products for Kilns. Typical products supplied include:
